KARATE-DO: The style of KARATE-JUTSU developed by FUNAKOSHI Y. Karate-do has strict rules of competition and blows and kicks are not delivered with full force. By deciding this, Funakoshi Yoshitaka was converting KARATE from a martial art, or JUTSU, into a martial way, or DO. (See also Karate article).
